Man uses cane to free ungrateful cat from chips bag

July 5 (UPI) -- An Alaska resident filmed his encounter with a cat that needed a little help escaping from a bag of chips stuck on its head.

The video, filmed Monday, shows the man approach the cat in a grassy lot in a residential neighborhood and reveal the feline's trouble with the chip bag.

The man, keeping a safe distance from the cat, uses the handle of his cane to hook the bag and quickly pull it off the feline's head.

The cat appears stunned for a brief moment before it takes off running across the street.

"Cat didn't even thank me," the man wrote.
