July 3 (UPI) -- A roller coaster at a British theme park broke down in mid-ride, temporarily stranding riders upside-down at the top of a loop high off the ground.
Visitors to the Drayton Manor theme park in Mile Oak, England, captured photos and video Saturday when the G-Force roller coaster stalled in mid-ride, leaving passengers trapped upside-down.
The park said the passengers were evacuated without incident.
"G-Force experienced a temporary stoppage, as a result all guests were safely removed from the ride, at no point was guest safety compromised," the park said in a statement.
G-Force, which opened in 2005, reaches speeds of up to 45 mph and heights exceeding 65 feet.
