Golfer chased by moose on Swedish course

July 2 (UPI) -- A golfer on a Swedish course was filmed being chased across the fairway by a young moose that was apparently seeking a playmate.

Tony Swahn posted a video to Facebook showing his friend Christer Sjogren trying to avoid the moose calf -- known as an elk in Europe -- Thursday by hiding behind a tree on a golf course in Karlstad.

The moose chases Sjogren around the tree until the golfer breaks away and sprints toward the Swahn, with the calf hot on his heels.

The calf's intentions appear to have been more playful than dangerous, as it turns away before colliding with its would-be victim and hangs around nearby before it eventually wanders off into the woods.
