Michigan flooding brings kayaking 'T-Rex' to the streets

June 28 (UPI) -- A Michigan man turned some frowns upside down in his flooded neighborhood when he kayaked through the streets in a Tyrannosaurus Rex costume.

Katrina Spry of Midland posted a video to Facebook showing her husband Travis traversing the flooded roads of their town in a kayak while wearing a T-Rex costume Friday.

The couple said they wanted to bring some smiles and laughter to the neighborhood after heavy rains the previous night brought in severe flooding.

"Among all the tough things Mother Nature sent us, including flooded basements, we thought we would have some fun and laughs!" Katrina Spry wrote.
