June 21 (UPI) -- Jerry Lynn lost an alarm clock 13 years ago and the timepiece still buzzes a reminder every night.

The clock, stuck inside the walls of his Pittsburgh-area home, blasts its alarm each evening at 6:50 p.m. or 7:50 p.m., depending on the time of year.

Lynn told CBS Pittsburgh he mistakenly dropped the clock down an air vent while he made home repairs in September 2004. The clock was set to go off ten minutes later, originally meant to tell Lynn where he could put a hole in his living room wall to set up a television.

Lynn thought he'd only need to put up with the buzzing for two or three months, when he assumed the battery would die. Instead, the alarm has gone off every night since that day. It's now to the point where it doesn't bother Lynn, who told CNN he thinks "it's kind of cute."

"We don't even notice it because we're so used to it," Lynn said. "It's more of a conversation piece when guests come over."

Lynn and his wife don't intend to fish the clock out of their wall anytime soon.
