June 20 (UPI) -- A Tesla owner awoke one morning to find a kitten inside his bumper after hearing sounds coming from the back of the car.
YouTube user S R shared a video documenting the loud meows as he wondered how the small kitten may have entered the rear bumper of his Model X car.
"Woke up on a Saturday morning, went into my garage, and heard a meeooow -- and I do not have a cat!" he said.
After inspecting the vehicle he theorized the tiny kitten may have entered through an opening near the back of the car.
"I'm wondering if it got in through here somehow," he said while inspecting the suspension above his rear tire.
He later brought the car into a Tesla service center, where a technician managed to pull a "feisty" orange tabby kitten from inside the bumper.
"They rescued this beautiful kitten that had been trapped in my Model X's rear bumper for probably over 14 hours, gave her water right away," he said.
After removing the kitten, one of the technician's decided to take it and named it "Tessie" after the car where it was found.
