June 20 (UPI) -- Toy company Mattel released a new line of diverse Ken Dolls including one with a trendy "man bun" hairstyle.
Ken's new hairstyle is a part of the company's new line of Barbie Fashionistas dolls, which added more skin tones, eye colors, hairstyles and fashions to the toys and introduced three new body types for Ken -- broad, slim and original.
The new man bun Ken took center stage in the new announcement, being chosen as the new avatar for Barbie's official Twitter page.
In addition to the man bun, the new Ken doll features a tribal-inspired print button-up shirt, faded denim shorts and white slip-on sneakers.
The item description states the bun hairstyle helps to "complete the look" and the added fashion options can expand the storytelling options for play.
Mattel's Barbie Fashionistas includes a total of 15 new Ken dolls with additional styles including cornrows and freckles.
The line includes a total of 40 new dolls, seven body types, 11 skin tones and 28 hairstyles including Barbies with dyed blue hair and afros.
