A video posted to Facebook on June 10 by Javy Alvarez, an employee at OFS Fitel in Norcross, shows a young black bear climbing on some scaffolding while workers joke about putting the animal to work. A police officer with a riot shield attempts to block the bear's path, but it easily passes him and flees. "I'm not chasing a bear!" one officer can be heard shouting. Police said they were able to keep an eye on the bear until a wildlife technician with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources arrived on the scene. "We were able to safely dart the bear, once it ran up into a tree. The bear came down on its own out of the tree once darted and was loaded into a trailer," a DNR representative told WXIA-TV.
