June 12 (UPI) -- A golfer at a Florida course captured video of a brave crane striking a pose in an apparent attempt to intimidate an oncoming alligator.

Greg Shine captured video Thursday at the Eagle Marsh golf course in Jensen Beach when he spotted the animal duo on a course for confrontation.

The video shows the crane extend its wings and neck in a show of size to intimidate the alligator, which walks calmly only feet away.

The crane's attempt at intimidation appears successful, as the alligator keeps walking instead of attempting to attack the bird.

The two animals walk side by side for a few moments as an unlikely duo before going their separate ways.

An alligator at ChampionsGate Golf Club in Davenport, near Orlando, was recorded last month in a similar pursuit with a pair of more cowardly cranes that chose to flee the large reptile rather than risk becoming its next meal.
