Bear visits Michigan family's deck, raids bird feeder

June 1 (UPI) -- A Michigan family captured video of a black bear making a visit to the deck at their home and raiding a bird feeder.

Casey Pullum posted a video to YouTube showing the bear that made an unexpected appearance Tuesday on the family's deck in the northern part of Michigan's lower peninsula.

The family can be heard reacting with amusement and surprise as the bear walks across the deck and steals some food from a bird feeder.

Pullum said bears have been spotted in the area before, but the bruin that visited Tuesday was the first to climb up on the deck.
