Sheldon Reese, manager of the North Shore Marina in Pueblo, said he was inside his home during a Monday evening storm when he heard a noise just outside. Advertisement "I heard a big boom -- and came out here and see what it was and, by golly, the sailboat got hit by lightning," Reese told KRDO-TV. Security camera footage shows the lighting strike hit the boat's mast, sparking a fire. "The first thing I'm looking at is there's gas right next to it, and I was like, 'We can't have this,'" Reese said. The fire was extinguished and no one was injured. Reese said the damage to the boat was estimated at about $10,000. Lake Pueblo State Park said in a Facebook post the video should serve as a "great reminder to always be weather aware."
