May 11 (UPI) -- A Washington state hardware store shared video of an unsuccessful burglary attempt by a black bear that bounced off the shop's front window.

A video posted to Facebook by Coulee Hardware in Grand Coulee shows outdoor surveillance footage from after 8 p.m. May 6.

The footage shows a bear suddenly run into frame and crash into the store's front window.

The window holds up under the force of the charging bruin, and the animal bounces backward.

"When you come to shop and we are already closed," the Facebook post joked.

The store owner said he checked the surveillance footage after a customer mentioned seeing the bear run across the parking lot and climb a fence.
