May 10 (UPI) -- A South Carolina home listed for sale on Zillow is drawing attention for an unusual warning: "Don't bother asking" about the occupant living upstairs.

The listing for the home in Cayce, near Colombia, states the buyer will assume responsibility for the mystery tenant upstairs, who does not pay any rent.

"Upstairs apartment cannot be shown under any circumstances. Buyer assumes responsibility for the month-to-month tenancy in the upstairs apartment. Occupant has never paid, and no security deposit is being held, but there is a lease in place. (Yes, it does not make sense, please don't bother asking.)," the listing states.

The posting, which asks $130,000 for the house, drew attention on Twitter, with some speculating on the nature of the mysterious tenant and branding the home a "nightmare house."

The home was previously sold for $52,000 in 1997.

A HotPad.com listing that sought to rent out the downstairs unit before the post expired Feb. 28 offers one extra detail about the unknown tenant: "Upstairs apartment is occupied by professional artist."
