Seal jumps out of the water, hits kayaker in the face

May 9 (UPI) -- A kayaker recording footage of seals off the coast of Namibia captured the moment one of the animals jumped out of the water and hit him in the face.

The video, recorded earlier this year near Walwis Bay, shows the kayaker and other boaters paddling among a huge gathering of seals.

The seals jump out of the water as the boaters pass, mostly managing to avoid collisions.

One seal, however, apparently misjudges its trajectory and jumps out of the water and crashes directly into the filmer's face.
