Motor scooter rider busted using cellphone as a headlight

May 3 (UPI) -- A Florida motor scooter driver was sent walking home by a deputy who found him using a cellphone tied to his mirror as a headlight.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post Cpl. Barrow conducted a traffic stop early Tuesday on a scooter seen driving on U.S. Highway 19 with a broken headlight.

"The driver was using a cellphone light as a headlight. The phone was bungee corded to his mirror," the sheriff's office said.

"Wasn't such a bright idea," the post quipped.
