May 2 (UPI) -- A pasture full of horses in Wyoming were caught on camera defending their territory from a coyote that decided to invade their space.

The video shows the horses, and some mules, chasing after a coyote that wandered into their pasture Friday in an apparent plot to attack one of the animals.

"This coyote was careless enough to decide to try to walk through this pasture of horses and mules," the filmer wrote. "[They] came running from everywhere to attack it! I wasn't able to get my camera running fast enough to catch the even more amazing scene right before this clip starts."

"When the coyote was barely managing to dodge the hooves of several dozen more that were striking inches away. I really thought he wasn't going to make it. They all continued to chase him to the very far corner of the pasture, and then returned prancing and practically smiling and high-fiving. They seemed pretty impressed with having chased that scary bad guy away!" the filmer wrote.
