Designer's mouth-watering prom dress inflates into a pizza

May 1 (UPI) -- A North Carolina designer is stealing the fashion state ahead of the Met Gala with a prom dress that inflates into a pizza.

Olivia Mears, a North Carolina designer and proprietor of the Etsy shop Avant-Greek, shared a video on Instagram of the pizza-themed dress, which inflates into a giant pizza when the wearer sits down.

The "pizza" features classic toppings, including pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives and green peppers.

"I created the dress for Domino's Piece of the Pie Contest," Mears told Thrillist. "It took a few hours each day for a few weeks before it was finished."

Mears previously made viral waves with another food-related creation, the Disney's Beauty and the Beast/Mexican food mashup "Taco Belle."
