April 20 (UPI) -- A photo of a Minnesota police department's "undercover 4/20 operations" went viral after being shared on social media Thursday.

Wyoming, Minn. Police shared a tongue in cheek photo of an officer holding a net while hiding behind a series of snacks and other items meant to entice marijuana smokers on the day that celebrates pot culture.

"Discreet traps have been set up throughout the city today," police said.

The "trap" in the photo featured bags of Doritos and Cheetos alongside a can of Mountain Dew, a White Castle bag and a pair of Xbox video games.

Wyoming police also joked about receiving reports of people not having enough drugs to properly celebrate in advance of the holiday.

"We heard complaints about someone not having enough drugs for #420 so if you're a drug dealer hit us up so we can...connect," they wrote.

The photo received more than 120,000 likes and more than 77,000 retweets, as the department said they hoped their posts would bring attention to the issue of substance abuse.

"All jokes aside, substance abuse is a real issue," police said. "We use tongue in cheek humor to bring attention to those issues."
