Newton Fire Department shared a photo of the large, green garbage truck dangling over the side of the embankment near Langley Road. Advertisement The fire department said Newton Police had closed a nearby road as they prepared to lift the truck to safety. Officials secured and suspended the truck as they awaited a heavy wrecker to lift it about 11:30 a.m. "Crews are standing by at this time. A heavy wrecker has been called in to lift the truck back up the embankment," Newton fire said. Fire crews eventually managed to recover the truck after using two 75-pound tow trucks to lift it back to street level. No injuries were reported and authorities were investigating the cause of the crash.#NFD crews are making up now.
