April 14 (UPI) -- An astonished shopper at a Russian mall pulled out their phone and captured video of a man taking a leashed tiger for a walk through the shopping center.

The video, filmed April 7, shows a man casually strolling through the Lotus Plaza mall in Karelia with a tiger wearing a leash.

The tiger appears docile and does not seem bothered by the crowd gathered to watch it.

"I was not the only one who was surprised, as there were so many people around with cameras on mobile phones, children and adults watched with interest. It turned out that this is a trainer from the circus arriving at the circus, and the tiger's name is Katya," the filmer wrote.
