April 10 (UPI) -- One of the first riders on Europe's fastest roller coaster at a newly-opened Spanish theme park got an extra thrill in his ride when he collided with a pigeon.
A video recorded during one of the initial runs of the Red Force roller coaster at the Friday grand opening of Ferrari Land, part of PortAventura World in Salou, Catalonia, shows an excited rider on the coaster experiencing a moment of confusion when he collides with a flying pigeon.
The man seems unaware of what has struck him until he reaches up to his neck and pulls the bird away from his body.
The man appears to have a moment of disgust before going back to enjoying the ride.
Red Force is the star attraction at the theme park, setting a record for Europe's fastest roller coaster by reaching speeds of 111 mph.
