House cat mesmerized, frustrated by 'Magic Eye' illusion

April 10 (UPI) -- A YouTuber shared video of a cat showing a human-like fascination -- and ultimately, frustration -- with an optical illusion printed on a sheet of paper.

Ryan Kotzin's video, which quickly went viral with millions of views in just three days, shows the dark-colored cat staring intently at a sheet of paper bearing a "Magic Eye" optical illusion.

The cat is first mesmerized by the spiral shapes, which are meant to appear to be spinning, before it tries to stop their apparent motion with its paws.

The cat then appears to become frustrated with the illusion and eventually starts biting off chunks of the paper.
