Turkey dashes across busy Massachusetts highway

April 7 (UPI) -- A daredevil turkey's mad dash across a busy stretch of interstate in Massachusetts was caught on camera by a news helicopter.

NBC Boston's Sky Ranger helicopter was filming a group of turkeys reported congregating on the side of Interstate 95 in Lynnfield when one particularly bold bird decided to try a game of real-life Frogger.

Traffic slowed as the turkey strutted across the first three lanes of traffic to reach the median.

The bird paused on the concrete median for a few moments before breaking into a run across the remaining three lanes, causing some vehicles to swerve out of their lanes to avoid a turkey tragedy.

I-95 has a well-documented history of turkey troubles, with one bird meeting its end in August last year when it crashed through a vehicle's windshield.
