April 6 (UPI) -- A married couple in Canada claimed a multimillion dollar prize after winning the lottery for the third time.
Barbara and Douglas Fink had won lottery games in 1998 and 2010, but claimed their biggest prize on Tuesday after winning $8,163,061 in the Western Canada Lottery Corporation's 6/49 draw.
Fink said she found out they had become lottery winners for a third time while her husband was at work and immediately called him to share the good news.
"He didn't answer, so I waited five minutes and tried again," she said. "That time, he picked up. I said, 'I did it again!'"
The Finks were one of two winners who matched all six main winning numbers and split the $16.3 million jackpot.
"I knew we had all the numbers, but I didn't know how many winners there were," Fink said. "I called Douglas back before midnight and told him it was more than $8 million!"
The couple said they had already planned a vacation before their win, but Fink said she and her husband would prioritize spending the money on their family.
"Family comes first," she said. "We want to make sure that our daughters and our grandkids are looked after."
After treating their children and returning from vacation, Fink hinted the couple might be in for another change of scenery.
"Barbara wants a new house, so she'll get one," he said.
