March 21 (UPI) -- Twitter users are losing their breath over the latest viral challenge -- the so-called "Cup Blowing Challenge."
The Cup Blowing Challenge, which took the social network by storm this week, involves challengers blowing on a cup set inside another cup to get it to jump into a third cup.
The cup-jumping works when the user's breath fills the bottom cup and pushes the top cup upward.
Some Twitter users seem to find spinning the top cup before blowing helps to ensure it doesn't get stuck in place.

Internet trend-tracking website Know Your Meme traced the cup blowing technique to a 2011 YouTube video, but it didn't appear as the "Cup Blowing Challenge" until January of this year, and became widespread Friday when a video bearing the name of the challenge was tweeted by WorldStarHipHop.
