March 20 (UPI) -- A British Columbia couple started recording a cougar in their back yard and captured the moment a second mountain lion fell off their fence.

Paul and Khuspal Liversidge said there were three cougars spotted at various times on the Coquitlam property March 12, starting with a pre-9 a.m. visit they witnessed through their bedroom window.

The couple said it was more than four hours later when their dog started barking out the window at a cougar in a tree. They started recording the big cat just as a second mountain lion fell from the top of their fence.

"While one immediately scampered away, the other one stood defiantly for a minute before eventually walking away,"Paul Liversidge told Global News. "It was growling, hissing and baring its teeth, while we blasted the bear horn and banged on the windows."
