Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe March 17 (UPI) -- An Australian wildlife sanctuary said an orphaned kangaroo joey has struck up an unusual friendship with a bearded dragon. The Greenough Wildlife & Bird Park posted photos to Facebook showing Rosie the kangaroo joey bonding with a 1-year-old bearded dragon named Elliot. Advertisement One of the photos shows what park staff said is among the duo's favorite activities -- Rosie giving Elliot a kangaroo-back ride. Park owner Michelle Jones said the duo have become inseparable and spend their outside time together. She said the inter-species animal friendship is especially rare due to the fact that marsupials and reptiles "don't normally hang out."
