March 14 (UPI) -- A Jack Russell terrier's face-planting obstacle course routine didn't win him any dog show prizes, but his enthusiasm won the Internet's hearts.

The dog, Olly, was escorted around the obstacle course at the Crufts 2017 dog show in Birmingham, England, by his owner Karen, but it became clear early on in the routine that his human would not be able to keep the canine on-task.

A video posted to YouTube by the official Crufts account features an amused commentator's play-by-play as Olly skips over obstacles, takes some in the wrong direction, and even runs off to greet the crowd more than once.

The Jack Russell's crowning achievement in the agility course comes when he underestimates the height of a hurdle, resulting in a crash that ends with the boisterous dog face-planting in the grass.

Olly, not to be discouraged, quickly jumps back up and continues to enthusiastically -- if inaccurately -- tackle the course.

The run might not have earned Olly a very high ranking, but his show-stealing performance quickly went viral as a top trending video on YouTube, with many commenters lauding the canine for his energy and enthusiasm.
