Jaguars battle python in South African national park

March 6 (UPI) -- A visitor to a South African national park caught rare footage of a battle to the death between two jaguars and a massive rock python.

The video shows a mother leopard and her cub clawing at a bush in South Africa's Kruger National Park.

The cause of the leopard's behavior is not immediately apparent in the video, but human observers can he heard saying there is a python hiding in the bush.

The snake eventually makes its presence known by lunging at the mother leopard.

The filmer said the python managed to bite the mother leopard, but failed to cause significant injury. The snake was eventually vanquished by the leopard.
