March 6 (UPI) -- A diving instructor in the Cayman Islands was filmed swimming up to a nurse shark near a reef and pulling a kitchen knife out of its head.
Brett Johnson, a diving instructor for Cayman Brac Beach Resort, was filmed by a guest Brian Godling Feb. 27 on Snapper Reef when the diving group encountered the shark.
The video, which Johnson posted to Facebook, shows the instructor carefully swimming up to the shark and carefully pulling a kitchen knife out of its head.
"Fortunately, the shark seems to be doing all right and we even spotted him again swimming around the same reef," Cayman Brac Beach Resort said on Facebook.
