Feb. 23 (UPI) -- A 15-year-old Illinois softball player taught her teammates a painful lesson -- don't play dodgeball against a pitcher.

Adyson Slayback's father, softball coach JJ Slayback, filmed the Bloomington-Normal Girls Softball Association's Angels travel team blowing off some steam recently with a game of dodgeball and posted the video to Facebook.

The video shows Adyson using her underhand softball pitching skills -- which have been clocked at about 60 mph -- to lob dodgeballs at the opposing team.

Adyson makes contact with two girls, knocking them over with the force of her throws.

She said the viral video has brought her fame at school, but the extra attention wasn't quite so welcome when it came to playing another round of dodgeball in school.

"All the kids were gunning for me and all trying to get me out because of all this. I was like, come on," she told WGLT-FM.
