Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A passenger on the London Underground captured video of the moment a train-riding pigeon hopped up on a woman's purse to beg for some chocolate.

Soni Fenton-Scott posted a video to Facebook Monday showing the pigeon riding with the human passengers on the subway train when its attention turns to a nearby woman eating a candy bar.

The bird jumps on the woman's purse, eliciting amusement from her fellow passengers, and the flustered passenger offers a piece of her snack to the bird.

The pigeon pecks at the chocolate, but doesn't take it out of the woman's hand, leading her to try setting it down.

The bird decides to remain on the woman's purse rather than follow the food, so she picks it back up and continues to slowly feed it to the avian beggar.

"I travel on the underground almost daily and have NEVER experienced this before!!" Fenton-Scott wrote. "Traveling today from Bank - Moorgate literally 5 mins ago and I'm shocked to sit back in the seat to see a pigeon taking a crafty ride on the tube -- free of charge!! A lady passenger gets on the tube and starts to eat and she is equally shocked! The look on her face says it all!"
