Feb. 12 (UPI) -- A kayaker in Scotland captured video of his surprising encounter with an unusually friendly seal that jumped onto another kayak.
The video, filmed Feb. 5, shows the kayaker filming a seal swimming near his kayak in the Forth Estuary.
The man expresses some concern as the seal approaches his kayak and warns it to stay away, but the seal refuses to listen to reason and investigates his paddles.
The man is soon joined by a second kayaker, whose boat plays host to the seal as it hops out of the water and onto the front of the vessel.
He said the seal climbed all over his kayak and those of his friends "for ages."
The man said he was surprised by the animal's friendliness.
"It showed little fear and no sign of aggression," he wrote.
