Feb. 3 (UPI) -- A competitive cup stacker has become the first to complete the task with a time of under 5 seconds at a competition in Georgia.

William Orrell, ranked No. 1 by the World Sport Stacking Association, completed a 12-cup stacking sequence known as "The Cycle" in 4.813 seconds at a tournament in Columbus, Ga.

Orrell's accomplishment bested his own record of 5 seconds, set two years ago.

"Orrell held the world record of 5 seconds in a sequence called the Cycle, which uses 12 cups to create a series of stacks," the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools blog said. "That put him on Page 69 of Guinness World Records 2016."
