Koala strolls up to Australian home's door, makes friends with dog

Feb. 1 (UPI) -- An Australian homeowner captured footage of a wild koala strolling up to their door to make friends with the family dog.

The video, posted to YouTube by user Quashi, shows the koala stroll up the home's walkway to share a moment with an Australian kelpie through the house's glass door.

The footage shows the two animals curiously regarding one another through the window before they both sit down to enjoy one another's company for a time.

The koala eventually bids its new best friend a fond farewell and wanders away from the home.

"A Koala decided to come visit and make friends with our Australian Kelpie," the video's description reads. "The Koala hung out with the dog for a while before heading off to a new tree."
