Venomous brown snake removed from elementary school office in Australia

Jan. 25 (UPI) -- An Australian snake catcher was called to an elementary school to remove a venomous brown snake that slithered behind a teachers' office cupboard.

A video posted to Facebook by Snake Catchers Adelaide shows reptile handler Ange Broadstock responding to Langhorne Creek Primary School in Mount Compass, where the 3-foot brown snake was seen slithering into a teachers' office.

Broadstock tracks the snake to a cupboard, which she empties to reveal the snake resting on a pile of books.

She said the snake will be relocated.

"Staff at Langhorne Creek school didn't expect a brown snake in their office he has come in by squeezing under the front door," Broadstock wrote.
