Jan. 25 (UPI) -- A visitor to Thailand's Tiger Temple captured video of a playful big cat making a huge splash by belly-flopping into some water.

Shanna Welch said she was volunteering in December at the Tiger Temple, a facility in Kanchanaburi that was converted from a Buddhist temple into an "open zoo" where people interact with tigers and other animals.

Welch was filming tigers playing with a keeper when one of the big cats became enamored with the keeper's long pole, which had an enticing ball dangling from the end.

The tiger dived off an outcropping to swat at the ball and took a belly flop into the water.
