The video shows the mountain bikers taking a treacherous trail when a massive herd of deer starts streaming across their path at a high speed.
"No snakes, crocodiles, or poisonous spiders in #newzealand. You'd assume going mountain biking is pretty safe until you nearly get steamrolled by a herd of deer," Wilson wrote.
He said none of the cyclists were injured by the "around 100 deer."
"Just a really close call. They just kept coming, there were some many of them, it was a full stampede," Wilson told 1NewsNow.
