Jan. 18 (UPI) -- A group of kiteboarders in Mexico were filmed coming ashore to help a disoriented young dolphin that beached itself in the sand.

The video shows the group, including one man still holding the kite, dragging the dolphin Jan. 10 from the shore of El Cuyo, Yucatan, to the waves.

The dolphin struggles in the shallow water, but is able to swim off once its rescuers drag it further out to deeper waters.

The filmer said the young dolphin was apparently disoriented after strong winds swept through the area.
