BINGHAMTON, N.Y., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- A New York state man captured video of his dog trying and failing to find her footing on an icy driveway that sent her into a slow slide.

Brandon Mooney posted a video to Instagram showing his 10-year-old Lhasa Apso, Veda, trying to walk toward him Wednesday on his family's icy driveway in Binghamton.

The dog attempts to walk, but soon discovers she can't even stand up on the slipper surface, causing her to slide slowly toward the road.

"I wasn't expecting her to follow me," Mooney told WBNG-TV. "Usually she goes around the corner and does her business. I turned around to take pictures of the ice to send to my girlfriend when I see her starting to slide down. It was like slow motion, her going down the driveway."

"With the driveway as steep as it is there was no catching her unless you wanted to slide down with her," he said.

Mooney said Veda might not be overly fond of ice, but she's a big fan of winter.

"She's getting a little old now but when it snows out... man she loves it," he said.
