TEL AVIV, Israel, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- An Israeli "Spider-Man" showed he doesn't quite possess all the skills of his namesake when an attempted demonstration caused him to fall through a roof.

The video, filmed on New Year's Day in Tel Aviv, shows a man in a Spider-Man costume emulating the superhero by climbing on a wall.

Spidey makes his way, carefully, from a wall to a nearby building, where he pulls himself up to the roof.

The wall-crawler, clearly pleased with his skills, shows off for the crowd by dancing across the tiles of the roof -- until the surface gives way under him.

Spider-Man then plunges through the hole, eliciting laughter and shouts of concern from the crowd.
