NEW YORK, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Commuter train riders in cities including New York, London, Berlin, Los Angeles, and Chicago publicly shed their trousers for the annual No Pants Subway Ride.
Improv Everywhere, the New York-based group behind the event, said participants in more than 60 cities around the world -- representing more than 25 different countries -- shed their pants Sunday in organized groups for the 16th annual No Pants Subway Ride.
Some cities, including Chicago, featured participants facing frigid temperatures without the protection of pants, contributing to a lower-than-usual turnout.
The flagship No Pants Subway Ride in New York featured seven groups spreading out across 11 subway lines amid windy 22-degree temperatures.
"Since this is the 16th year we've done this, there's not too much to report other than it was another awesome time," Improv Everywhere announced after the ride.
