University of Minnesota's Raptor Center had received a report about the injured eagle and requested that police help confirm the report before they responded.

Beasley arrived at the area and managed to capture the eagle in a blanket until the Raptor Center arrived to bring it in for treatment.

According to the State Patrol, the Dec. 11 rescue was one of several interactions troopers had with eagles in 2016.
