LOS ANGELES, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- A group of Los Angeles beach-goers used some rope to rescue a baby great white shark that ended up stranded on the sand.

A video posted to YouTube by user Alex Feig shows a group of men working Saturday to return the small shark to the water after it apparently became beached at Venice Beach.

The men tie a rope to the shark's tail and are able to drag it back out into the water, where it swims away.

"Saw some quick thinking (and brave) good samaritans save a beached baby Great White," Feig wrote.
