The Bernardsville Fire Company said in a Facebook post that firefighters responded Sunday with crews from the Peapack-Gladstone Fire Department to a pond in Bernardsville. Advertisement A resident of a nearby home reported a deer had fallen through the ice after being chased by a dog. The fire company said the dog was gone by the time firefighters arrived and they were able to rescue the animal thanks to Peapack-Gladstone's ice rescue team.
