Lamp-loving cat keeps warm by embracing the light

VISEISEI, Fiji, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- A Fiji pet owner shared video of her rescue kitten showing his species' well-known love of warm objects by enthusiastically embracing a heat-radiating salt lamp.

Celeste Louise Brocksom, who lives in Viseisei, posted a video to Facebook of her kitten, Selenite, keeping himself warm by hugging tight to the warm salt lamp.

Brocksom said the lamp-loving cat was found as a stray on a street when he was only three weeks old.

She said she was originally only planning to keep the kitten for a short time, but she and her three dogs quickly formed an attachment to the feline.
