PATTAYA, Thailand, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- A driver on a road in Pattaya, Thailand, recorded video of a bizarre modified car he compared to the post-apocalyptic vehicles from Mad Max. The video, recorded Monday, shows the ornate convertible with its top down on a road in Pattaya.

The car is covered in strange decorations, and the driver eventually turns on some blinking lights.
The driver appears amused to be filmed, but a female passenger appears embarrassed and ducks out of sight.
"I recorded this car on the motorway on the way to Pattaya. I couldn't quite believe it at first," the uploader wrote.
"It was covered in spray paint, welding modifications and flags - just like a vehicle from 1979 action hit Mad Max with Mel Gibson.
The driver saw me and waved, then turned on a set of flashing fairy lights. But his wife was clearly embarrassed by it as she starts hiding when she sees me filming her.
It was pretty weird. I laughed my backside off then started to record it."
