Python found hiding in mailbox in Australia

SUNSHINE COAST , Australia, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- A resident in Australia received an unexpected delivery when they found a coastal carpet python curled up in their mailbox.

Max from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7arrived to find the python nestled into the brick mailbox for a midday nap.

"When this Buderim resident went to check his mail this morning he found a bit more than Christmas Cards!" Max said.

The python startled the residents prompting them to call the snake removal company to send the sleeping python on its way.

"The Snake was successfully relocated into some nearby bushland where it won't be able to terrorise the local postman," Max said.
