MELBOURNE, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- A controversial Australian graffiti artist painted a mural tribute to an unlikely hero: the man who punched a kangaroo to save his dog.

Melbourne graffiti artist Lushsux, who previously made headlines with controversial murals depicting Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, and other famous figures, posted a photo to Instagram Sunday unveiling his latest creation.

The mural shows the moment Greig Tonkins, a zookeeper at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubba, punched a kangaroo in the face after the aggressive marsupial placed his dog in a headlock.

The video clip was recorded during a hunting trip in June, but was only posted to YouTube last week, when it quickly went viral.

Lushsux posted a short video clip to Instagram featuring the mural and the audio from the viral clip of the kangaroo punch.
