FORNO DI ZOLDO, Italy, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- An Italian man achieved a new world record by piling up more than 100 scoops of ice cream on top of a single cone.
Dimitri Panciera claimed the Guinness World Record for "Most ice-cream scoops balanced on a cone" by piling up 121 scoops at the annual Gelatimo ice-cream festival in Forno di Zoldo.
To achieve the record Panciera was required to use a cone with a diameter no greater than 3.74 inches and balance the scoops for at least 10 seconds.
He said he was able to pile the sweet dessert so high because he used local "artisan ice cream."
Panciera had previously held the record for balancing he most ice cream scoops at 109, but managed to surpass himself with his most recent effort.
He is also responsible for another ice cream related record after constructing the world's largest ice-cream scoop which measures 6 feet and 4.7 inches long, 1 foot and 10.8 inches wide and 6.6 inches deep.
